Q. What is Cold Creek Wellness Center’s program?

A. Cold Creek Wellness Center provides comprehensive treatment to persons with all types of addiction. Because everyone is unique, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to treating addiction. Accordingly, we utilize a wide variety of the most proven and successful treatment models and therapies. Our program is based upon the Bio-Psycho-Social and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment models. These models view addiction as a disease while taking in to consideration that there are Biological, Psychological, and Sociological factors to consider when treating addiction. Within these models we utilize the following types of therapy: Individual and Daily Group Counseling, Experiential Therapy, Equine Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Art, Music, Yoga, Exercise, and Sauna Detoxification Treatments, Twelve Step meetings, and “The Work” by Byron Katie. This approach allows our specially trained staff to address the complex needs of individuals with co-occurring disorders. In addition, our Utah drug treatment addiction counselors measure each client’s progress as they complete specific stages in the recovery process.

We offer a positive, healthy and safe environment where clients’ physical, intellectual, medical, nutritional, spiritual and emotional needs are cultivated. In this Utah Rehab setting assisted by trained counselors and specialized therapies, opportunities of self-awareness, healing and recovery emerge. This empowers clients to see themselves and their relationships from a new and clear perspective. Through the integrity of taking responsibility for personal choices, clients learn to free themselves from the self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors that have undeserved them in the past. At Cold Creek you take the first step in recovering the life you were meant to live.

Q. I have received treatment before and it didn’t do any good. What will be different this time?

A. Clients who come to Cold Creek Wellness Center may have been through other treatment programs. We strongly believe that it is not the person who fails a treatment program, but that the past treatment programs may not have been suitable for the person. We pride ourselves in providing appropriate and compassionate support to every client.

That being said, a client’s willingness to get well and to take responsibility for his or her own recovery has a big impact on their progress. Clients who have had prior treatment episodes may require a longer length of stay.

Q. How can my family participate in Family Therapy Program if they do not live in Utah?

A. By utilizing teleconferencing, families from out of state or country can participate in our Family Program.

Q. How long will I stay in the program?

However, keep in mind treatment at Cold Creek Wellness Center depends on the individual. Throughout treatment the clinical team monitors your progress; if you are unable to meet your goals within the standard 45 day time-frame then we will recommend that you extend your treatment. Sometimes extensions are essential to helping some clients to make a successful recovery. You will work closely with your counselor to continue receiving a level of care that is appropriate.
